These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of UCantWrite, including the Chrome extension, web dashboard, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

This is not legal advice. These are starter terms that describe how the Service works and what we expect from users.

1. Description of Service

UCantWrite is a prompt enhancement tool. You provide a prompt, and the Service uses AI (via the Anthropic Claude API) to improve it. The Service includes a free tier (5 enhancements per week) and a paid Pro tier with additional capacity and features.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UCantWrite — whether through the Chrome extension, the web dashboard, or any other interface we provide — you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. User Responsibilities

When using UCantWrite, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes. Do not submit prompts that contain illegal content, promote violence, or violate the rights of others.
• Not attempt to abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service (for example, by circumventing usage limits or automating requests beyond normal use).
• Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Take responsibility for the content you submit and how you use the enhanced output.

4. Intellectual Property

• Your content. You own your prompts and the enhanced output generated from them. We do not claim any ownership over content you create or receive through the Service.
• Our service. UCantWrite, including its design, code, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand assets.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UCantWrite and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $50, whichever is greater).

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that enhanced prompts will meet any particular standard of quality. AI-generated output may contain errors or inaccuracies — you are responsible for reviewing and using it at your own discretion.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a way that could harm us or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in [State].
